Access to Pleasure. Onramp to Specific Information on Disability, Illness, and Other Expected Changes Throughout the Lifespan
The Internet is a promising new medium for people with disabilities, illness, and other expected changes throughout the lifespan to gain access to sexual health information and education. Sexual changes associated with overall health status are often ignored in the relationship between health provider and patient. While more websites are including a sexual health channel, few are dedicated to providing specific information related to sexual health and disability, illness, or aging. This presentation will focus on how Internet users from all over the world are using the website www.SexualHealth.com to obtain information from a group of nearly fifty sexual health professionals. The website was founded in 1996 by Dr. Mitchell Tepper.
