Werner Faulstich, Lüneburg:
Pornography and the Cultural History of Media
This contribution follows the change of pornography according to the cultural history of media, from prehistoric sexual rites up to the digital stimulation of sexual encounter.
About the Author:
Werner Faulstich, Prof. Dr. phil., born in 1946. Ph.D. in 1973, habilitation (post-doctoral lecturing qualification) for Media Studies and English Philology in 1981 at Tübingen University. Heisenberg scholarship by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft 1982-1987. Professor for Literature Mediation in Bamberg 1985/86. Associate Professor for Media Studies in Siegen 1987, special research field Screen Media 1986-1989. Since 1989 chair for Media Studies in Lüneburg; since 1991 Head of Institute for Applied Media Research (IfAM).
